Judy Hopkins passed away March 9, 2011. She is missed.
Judy Hopkins made quilts and wrote books for quilters from her
home in Juneau, Alaska. And she designed jewelry! These fine sterling
silver pieces are heavy, elegant, and beautifully finished.
Judy has chosen quilt block motifs with an Alaskan flavor for these pieces. Earrings, pendants and bracelets are available in each of the three designs: Cabin Lights, Eskimo Mask, and Flying Geese.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: They're beautiful, Judy. Are they all silver and black? The photos aren't showing the gleam ....
Judy’s Answer: The raised (light) parts are shiny silver. The sunken (dark) parts are kind of pewter colored.
Q: I really like the Flying Geese Pendant, but how long is the chain? With my roly-poly neck, I need a longer necklace chain.
Judy’s Answer: The "chains" are black nylon loops, choker style. Providing high-quality silver chains would boost the price, and everybody wants a different length and style--silver or leather or satin or whatever---so it's expected that most people will just use their own chains. The large flying geese pendant is quite large---almost too big for a necklace. They make those up as pins also.
Q: I’d like it “opera” length pendant. So, it would be easy to “attach” your own chain or leather cord?
Judy’s Answer: Yes. It has a loop ("bail") on the back that the chain/cord slides through, accommodates many different chains as long as one of the ends is small enough to slide through the loop. I own a bunch of chains and cords and all of them work just fine. If "opera length" you might want the larger pendant. It's about 2" long, 1-1/4" wide. I don't have mine here right now (It's in Oregon) so can't tell you exact size, but the small Fly Geese pendant is about half that size. I think the large pendant is too big to wear on the 16" chain I normally use, so I use the small one---but if I were wearing it on a long chain I think the larger one would be better..
